Galway is a large county with a rich heritage and beautiful landscape, from Connemara in the west to the shores of Lough Derg in the east. Galway is home to vibrant towns with great communities that offer superior quality of life, strong sporting traditions and a wealth of culture through the theatre, the arts and film.

In County Galway we have everything a modern business could wish for. A young highly educated workforce, an ample supply of zoned industrial and commercial space throughout the County, availability of Fibre Based Broadband in the main towns and wireless broadband services in rural areas.

We are at the crossroads of the National Atlantic and the East West Transport corridors. The connectivity of the county is currently being overhauled through large scale investments in rail, road and air transport and communications infrastructure that will provide us with world class systems in the immediate future. The IDA is also developing a regional strategic zone at the heart of County Galway. There are three research institutes at the centre of the county, NUI Galway, GMIT and the Marine Research Institute.

There is a vibrant business sector throughout the county and Galway is a key centre for many progressive Irish and multinational industries particularly in the software and medical devices sectors. There are a wide range of Agencies to support business development in the County no matter what size of business including the County Enterprise Board, Enterprise Ireland, IDA Ireland, Údáras na Gaeltachta and a progressive Local Authority.

With all this and a great quality of life you can see why people choose County Galway as a business location.
